Sancerre Blanc Les Monts Damnés
The old folk used to say that you had to be "damned" to plant vines on these hills; today we always enjoy working on these hills as the view over the Sancerre area is stunning.
Tasting notes
"A wine of admirable finesse from the first nose, with white fruit (peach, pear), exotic fruit (pineapple, passion fruit) and white flowers. The palate shows a great deal of substance, density and fat, underpinned by a lively acidity in nice proportion to the mineral tones that add cleanness and definition and draw out the finish.” Guide Hachette 2017, "coup de coeur" (favourite).
