Sancerre Blanc Maréchal Prieur

Sancerre Blanc Maréchal Prieur

Patient MARECHAL, a PRIEUR family ancestor, exported his wines to England as early as 1887, and the Maréchal Prieur cuvée was created to mark the centenary. Selected from the domaine’s finest têtes de cuvées, this Sancerre possesses all the qualities of a wine for long cellar-ageing.

Tasting notes

From the south-facing clay-limestone “terres blanches”, this wine is named after a Prieur family ancestor, who was already exporting their wines over a century ago. Barrel-ageing on the lees adds a fine toasted character to this succulent, fleshy wine, with an expressive lemony flavour. A deep and flavoursome wine.
